Wind Direction

The Prevailing or Predominant wind direction for New Hampshire is usually from the West. Prior to scouting or hunting check wind direction for the day you will be heading into the woods. When setting up a stand or attempting to stock your prey, keep the wind in your face. Too many hunters here in New Hampshire overlook or under estimate a deer’s ability to scent them at long distances.

I’ve hunted with a buddy a few times that just seems to ignore this completely. He says the wind makes it harder for him to hear, so he keeps it to his back. I’ll have to send him to your site, I think he might finally learn a lot!
